Project Summary

In January 2021, the Texas Division of Emergency Management engaged the SLS team to staff and operate the 100-bed Austin Convention Center Emergency Alternate Care Site (ACS) in downtown Austin, to accommodate the growing number of COVID-19 patients in the region.

 

In addition to providing highly-qualified physicians and medical staff to the ACS, SLS supplied 20 intermediate care units with high pressure oxygen and other medical support equipment. SLS also converted the facility’s existing oxygen delivery system to a hi-flow liquid oxygen system to support all patient beds. 

 

Within 12 hours of activation, the SLS team was on site preparing to receive patients.
