Project Summary
In October 2018, Hurricane Michael, a Category 4 storm, severely impacted eastern Florida, causing extensive damage to the landscape and communities. FDOT enlisted SLS to establish an emergency response base camp and manage debris removal.
Remarkably, within just 72 hours, SLS successfully transformed the FDOT base into a fully operational center, complete with sleeping quarters, a dining hall and comfortable resident amenities, providing accommodations and support for hundreds of FDOT responders engaged in critical recovery efforts.
