Project Summary
SLS Response was contracted to establish and operate a turnkey medical unit for a FEMA base camp in eastern Kentucky in response to catastrophic flooding. They mobilized resources within 24 hours of activation.
The project included the provision of medical personnel, specifically RNs for flu vaccine dispensing, back-end logistics staff for 30 days, and medical support throughout the 30-day performance period. Supplies necessary for the medical unit's operation were purchased and used as needed, including common over-the-counter medications.
Assets deployed for this project included three 8' x 8' Rapi-Pods and on-site medical support for up to 18 hours per day, seven days a week (0500 - 2300), with 24-hour on-call medical support. SLS Response provided 24/7 on-site medical care for FEMA employees during this mission.
