Florida Emergency Services: Testing Sites, Feeding & Logistics

In March 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Florida Division of Emergency Management engaged the SLS team to provide comprehensive testing sites, feeding, and logistical support for Florida’s residents.  

 

Within 48 hours of activation, the SLS team mobilized and began transforming multiple high-visibility South Florida County locations into well-organized COVID-19 testing sites, designed to provide over 10,000 tests daily to first responders, healthcare workers, and the general public.  

 

SLS also partnered with local restaurants to deliver up to 700 boxed meals daily. The effort helped local businesses struggling to stay afloat during the pandemic.
