Hope Restored: SLS Helps Deliver First Home Repair under Renew NC Program after Hurricane Helene

We’re proud to support Renew NC’s Single-Family Housing Program, which just completed its first home repair since Hurricane Helene. Crews restored Ms. Matalene Waters’ home, repairing ceilings, replacing doors and baseboards, and refreshing siding to make her house feel like home again.

With nearly 2,000 applications received across 29 counties, this program is helping families rebuild and return to safe, resilient homes.
