Project Summary

In early December 2020, MEMA engaged SLS to transform the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus recreation center into a 100-bed COVID-19 emergency alternative care site (ACS).

 

Within 24 hours of activation, the SLS team began transforming the university recreation center into a clean, safe full-service ACS, and construction was completed in less than a week.

 

The alternate care site ensured adequate space and medical resources to treat overflow patients from Lowell General Hospital.
