- SLS to Lead First Project Under U.S. Navy’s Guam Build Program
The U.S. Navy has awarded an eight-year IDIQ contract to 10 firms, including SLSCO LTD ,(SLS) for major military construction projects in Guam. The award, announced by NAVFAC Pacific on September 10, reflects the Department of Defense’s long-term investment in the island’s critical infrastructure. SLS also received the first task order under the contract: a school-age facility at Andersen Air Force Base, scheduled for completion in August 2028. This milestone positions SLS as a key partner in delivering resilient, mission-critical facilities that support service members, families, and U.S. defense strategy in the Pacific. - Transforming Nostrand: SLS Leads the Renovation to Improve Homes for NYC Residents
The NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust has selected Community Modernization Group (CMG), led by SLS , to deliver more than $400 million in renovations at Brooklyn’s Nostrand Houses. This project, the first under the Trust, will improve 1,148 apartments for over 2,200 residents. Work will include full kitchen and bathroom upgrades, lead and hazard removal, new heating and ventilation systems, and replacements of elevators, windows, plumbing, and electrical systems. Exterior repairs, pest control, and waste management improvements are also planned. Using a Design-Build model, CMG will streamline delivery, reduce disruption, and ensure residents remain central to the process. - Hope Restored: SLS Helps Deliver First Home Repair under Renew NC Program after Hurricane Helene
We’re proud to support Renew NC’s Single-Family Housing Program, which just completed its first home repair since Hurricane Helene. Crews restored Ms. Matalene Waters’ home, repairing ceilings, replacing doors and baseboards, and refreshing siding to make her house feel like home again. With nearly 2,000 applications received across 29 counties, this program is helping families rebuild and return to safe, resilient homes.
